TOPIC : DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN MARKETING
SRM IST Tiruchirappalli campus, Department of Business Administration organized its Expert Talk Series – 1 with the session handled by Dr. N. Thamaraiselvan, Department of Management Studies, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli on the topic “Disruptive Technologies in Marketing” on 09th November 2021, at 10.30 AM through online mode. The Master of Ceremony was handled by Ms. Jasmin Hepcy and Ms. Judith Jaya Princy of Management Department. The program was started with the invocation by Ms. Priyadharshini by singing Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu. The resource person was given a warm reception with the Welcome address delivered by Dr. C.K. Kotravel Bharathi, Dean Science and Humanties, SRM IST. The Introduction to Guest of Honor was delivered by Dr. J. Rajesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration. The resource person kick started the session by highlighting the importance of latest disruptive technologies influencing various marketing decision in the business world. He emphasized on the impact of various technologies like chat box, AI, Digital Marketing shaping the contemporary developments in the field of marketing. He also emphasized on effective consumer engagement in branding through techniques like story telling concept and emotional advertisements. He concluded the session with the role and significance of latest technology changing the competitive dynamics of the business market. Finally the session was concluded with the delivery of vote of thanks by Dr. N. Manivannan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, SRM IST.
