Online Quiz Contest hosted on Google Forms over the span of three days on the concepts of Machine Learning, Python Programming, and Cloud Computing were conducted on the 28th, 29th and 30th of June respectively, and certificates were issued to those with over 50% marks.
Date: 28/06/2020 – 30/06/2020
Time: 04:00 PM 05:00 PM
Agenda
Three quizzes on popular and relevant concepts in the IT industry today, named Machine Learning, Python Programming and Cloud Computing, were conducted on the 28th, 29th and 30th of June respectively, for the purpose of testing the knowledge of the participants in the above mentioned domains. Certificates were issued to the participants who scored 50% and above in each individual quiz.
Importance of the quiz
1) Testing knowledge in popular domains, namely Machine Learning, Python Programming, and Cloud Computing.
2) Providing worthy participants an opportunity to earn certificates in the above domains by scoring 50% and above in the quizzes.
Synopsis
The series of quizzes were conducted on three consecutive days, namely the 28th, 29th and 30th of June, with the domains being Machine Learning, Python Programming and Cloud Computing respectively. These domains in particular were chosen for their relevance in the current state of the Computer Science industry. Machine Learning and Cloud Computing are two of the most popular domains, especially in the last couple of years. Python programming is one of the most essentials tools that any programmer must master, as it is the most popular programming language in the industry right now and opens up multiple viable career paths for a budding individual. The event saw a massive participation of 100 participants.
Day 1 (28/06/2020) – Machine Learning
Machine Learning is an application of artificial intelligence that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. Data scientists and data science engineers are some job opportunities provided by learning ML. The first day saw 100 participants, with 79 of them getting above 50%, making them eligible to get certified.
Day 2 (29/06/2020) – Python Programming
Day 2 focused on Python programming. Python is arguably the most popular and versatile programming language in recent times, with applications ranging from web development to data analytics to artificial intelligence. It’s wide range, couples with relative ease of learning, makes it a favorite among students and companies alike, and will always remain in high demand. The Day 2 quiz saw all 100 participants trying their hand at the quiz, with 94 of them being eligible for the certificate, showing that they were strong in their python concepts.
Day 3 (30/06/2020) – Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage (cloud storage) and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The term is generally used to describe data centers available to many users over the Internet. Cloud Engineers are sought after by leading companies like Microsoft, Amazon and Google due to the emerging popularity of the Cloud. Day 3 saw a participation count of 76, with 58 participants being eligible to receive the certificate.
The event as a whole received overwhelmingly positive response and feedback. The quizzes were mostly rated as “Excellent” by the participants, with additional feedback such as “Very useful” and “Expecting more quizzes and webinars”.
